Dani Pettrey returns to Alaska with 'Shadowed', introducing listeners to. Paired with a savvy Chicago cop, the two realize her disappearance is no accident, and a race against the clock begins. The depth of each sibling and how their individual backgrounds cause them to approach faith from different angles are realistic and thought provoking. In Dee Hendersons 'Missing', a Wyoming sheriff is called to Chicago when his elderly mother goes missing. Even though you know it will happen, their honesty with God is moving. However, the scenes where the individual comes to faith are exceptional. A bad example for my girls who I'm training to never date/get emotionally involved with a non-believer, since it usually doesn't have a happy ending and God commands us not to. It's predictable in that the object of their affection will become a Christian and they will get together. While the character does mention several times that the relationship can go no farther, they don't take steps to insure that it doesn't. You are drawn in and have trouble putting it down you definitely want to read the whole series and they get better! My only disappointment was in the first several books of the O'Malley series, she has a Christian fall in love with a non-Christian. Dee Henderson's characters and style of writing are very enjoyable.
